The small and cozy Varvi beach is located not more than a kilometer from the center of Raahe, and from there a wonderful view opens directly to the Raahe archipelago. The beach has a changing room, outhouse, campfire site, sandy beach, parking lot nearby, swings, frisbee golf baskets, so it is perfect for families with children. Partially sandy bottom.
The district got its name from the docks (varvi) in the area in the 19th century, where ships were built to sail the world's seas. The Varvi nature trail also starts near the beach. There is also a hut maintained by the active Varvi-Välikylä village association in the area, which can also be rented.
