Elf Briskie's family comes from the countryside. He wanted to live in the city and has never regretted his career choice. The people of Katinhäntä are sensible folk. Their lives are a joy to follow.
The day dawns. Elf Briskie has been sneaking quietly on his toes all night on his patrol route around Katinhäntä. He has been recording the residents' kind deeds and mischiefs in his electronic notebook.
Now he sits in his home burrow, contemplating his own thoughts. He has been an elf in Katinhäntä since the tallship era. His ancestors came from the countryside, where many farm buildings had their own specialised guardian elves, such as the house elf, sauna elf, mill elf, barn elf, granary elf, cowshed elf and stable elf.
- I wanted to go and see the life of the city, Briskie recalls his career choice. And he hasn't regretted it. The people of Katinhäntä are sensible folk. Their lives have always been a joy to follow.
- Hassinen's shop was one of the shops that sold original Raahe candies, he recalls. They were given as presents and even hung on the Christmas tree. After Christmas, they were quickly devoured by those with a sweet tooth. Briskie remembers that todays is December 21st and Tuomas's nameday. In the old days this was a market day.
