SF Caravan Lohenpyrstö

Lohenpyrstö (ENG: Salmon tail) is located in the beautiful seaside area of Mikonkari in Raahe. The site has 200 electrified pitches for motorhomes and caravans. It is open all year round. In addition to motorhome and caravan travellers, tent campers are also welcome.

The services at Lohenpyrstö include a kitchen, toilet and shower facilities, laundry facilities, a kiosk, a cozy wood-fired sauna, and a barbecue hut. The service building features a large hall with a dance floor and karaoke equipment. For children, there are an exciting pedal car track and a well-equipped playground. Dogs travelling with the family have access to their own small fenced dog park. The campsite regularly hosts events such as seasonal parties, children’s events, and Christmas celebrations.

In the immediate vicinity of Lohenpyrstö, you will find a shallow sandy-bottom swimming area, a pleasant nature trail, and a birdwatching tower. A fishing harbour suitable for fishing is located a short distance away. Near Lohenpyrstö, you can also visit the magnificent sculpture park by artist Matti Lepistö. Raahe town centre is only 4 kilometres away. You can borrow a bicycle and set out to explore the town!

Kielo Camp

Kielo Camp is a self-service camping area in Pyhäjoki, just one kilometre from Highway 8. The area is located in a natural island setting, and the seashore with its smooth rock formations is only a few minutes’ walk away.

Kielo Camp has 38 electric pitches for motorhomes as well as additional non-electric pitches. Tent campers are also welcome. The camping area is open from early spring to late autumn. 

The site offers toilet and shower facilities, laundry facilities, and a small kitchen in a shared cabin. The campsite also features a campfire site, trampoline and playground, as well as a nature trail, lean-to shelter, and birdwatching tower. Kielo Camp has two different wood-fired saunas, and after a sauna session you can take a refreshing swim from the pier into the river.

In summer, the Kielo Camp summer restaurant serves visitors. The menu includes light savoury dishes and grilled treats such as a nacho platter or a hunter’s sandwich. The restaurant, which is licensed to serve alcohol, also offers drinks and ice cream.

Throughout the year, Kielo Camp organizes a variety of events, including sauna evenings, seasonal and themed celebrations, live music performances, and special restaurant evenings.

Lampinsaari Camping

Lampinsaari Camping operates on a self-service basis from June to August. The campsite is located in culturally and historically valuable Lampinsaari, known as a former mining village.

The area offers an outdoor swimming pool, a lakeside sauna with showers, and toilet facilities. Nearby, visitors can enjoy nature trails, birdwatching towers, lean-to shelters, and an overnight cabin. Guidance for fishing and hunting is also available for those interested. The campsite's summer café is open weather permitting. The area also features a barbecue hut and a playground for children.

Raahe City Motorhome Stopover

The City of Raahe's motorhome stopover is located in the parking area of the former Merikatu School (Merikuja 1). This self-service stopover is free of charge and does not include any additional services. It is intended only for short-term and temporary overnight stays in your own recreational vehicle.

The city stopover is situated in a peaceful location close to the center of Raahe. Old Town Raahe, shops, museums, cafés, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. From the stopover, you can access the seaside walking route, and the beach as well as Musta Sauna are located nearby.

Motorhomes may also stay overnight in the parking area of Kuntokeidas Vesipekka. An electric hook-up pitch costs €12 per day. A €20 key deposit is refunded when the key is returned.
