Raahe celebrates the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture year with a brand-new week-long music festival, Raahe Sounds. The programme offers something for everyone, bringing together music, art, and performances for audiences of all ages.
The opening concert of Raahe Sounds is presented by the Raahe Music Institute at Raahesali Hall in the Event House Raahe. The stage will feature a wide range of ensembles and orchestras. The closing concert takes place at Raahe Church, performed by the Lapland Military Band.
Highlights of the event include among others a magical children’s concert by Päivi and Mikko Koskela, a spring dance showcase by Funky Hall SODAP ry, a community sing-along concert led by Pauli Ylitalo, and Mother’s Day concerts in Raahe and Vihanti hosted by the Parish of Raahe.
All Raahe Sounds events are free of charge.
