Europa Objects, the exhibition of paintings and sculpture by Rauha Hartt and Daniel Pasteiner, addresses themes of displacement/exclusion and identity loss within the European diaspora. The works explore the contradictions that arise from belonging to a dominant narrative that feels both alienated from cultural traditions and at the same time unable to move forward from them. The exhibition is an investigation into European cultural loss and the dormant potential within developing traditions.
